Trust Your Intuition

Finding your purpose is not a linear process. It’s more like a cycle of various adjustments where you eventually get closer and closer to your ideal target. The most important is therefore to set yourself in motion and to TRUST YOUR INTUITION. Even though you are not entirely sure about where you want to end up, it’s definitely better to start acting now.

In my experience, and in the experience of all the successful people around me, the most important is to start. It is the crucial part of your quest to finding your life’s purpose. Because taking action, even in the “wrong” direction, is a lesson that steers you in the right direction afterwards.

Trust Your IntuitionLet’s look at how it happened for me. After high school – that’s 15 years ago – I was totally clueless regarding what I should do next. I didn’t know what I wanted to do for a living, and choosing a field of study was therefore an even greater challenge. The only certainty in my life at that time was that I wanted to travel. Well, travelling later turned out to be the most useful asset I developed in my mentorship career! Living in different cultures taught me to observe, to learn about others and myself. Knowing myself very well is now what allows me to fulfill my passion of helping others, but I had no clue about how things would unfold when I started. And I surely didn’t travel with the intention of knowing myself better.

A good place to start is to work with the very first intuitive answer that comes up when you think about your passions. The problem is that many people do it in reverse. We choose according to our existing circumstances while we should be choosing in function of what we want our circumstances to be. If your dream is to become an airplane pilot, but you don’t have the grades to get there, modify your path, not your dream! What if it costs you extra time and money to take private lessons if that’s what you need to get to your goal?

If you are at the very beginning of your search in finding your life’s purpose, you might not be aware of how to listen to your intuition. We all have the same intuition level, but listening to it is a skill that needs to be developed. When you consciously concentrate on listening to your feelings, you actually bring more awareness into them and you become conscious of them.

A good way I found is to start writing down what your intuition is telling you. When you start focusing on the little voice inside, you give it more importance and it will talk to you even more. If you write down theses messages, and go back in your journal and validate if your intuition was right or not, you will gain more confidence in your inner voice and will start listening to it even more!

It always amazes me how people know and believe in the importance of intuition in succeeding in your life and business but do not take action in developing this faculty. Sonia Choquette gives great advice on that! I read her book titled Trust Your Vibes: Secret Tools for Six-Sensory Living and it was very helpful! It’s a very practical guide, easy to digest with several steps ease to implement. I strongly recommend it!

Self-help starts here! (Breaking out of my shell)

Today, I’m breaking out of my shell. Self-help starts here! I’m stepping up and deciding that I have the “right” to help others. My experience and learning can be useful to others. That might sound trivial to people who offer their advice freely, or who don’t even realize that they do, but I’ve always felt somewhat of an “impostor” to advice someone on their life. I’m always thinking: “Who am I to pretend that I can know what is better or worse for someone”? So I usually refrain from giving advice and I simply try to ask the right questions to make the person come up with their own answers (psychologist-style!).self-help starts here

Today though, I decided to take my first 3 mentoring customers: My brother, my boyfriend and my best friend. They all need to learn perseverance in some fields and I want to help them. My brother wants to have a girlfriend but he needs to improve what he can “market” to a girl. The problem is not meeting her, it’s sustaining her interest. My boyfriend needs to raise his self image and realize that he is a very valuable person and partner. We’ll do daily affirmations to help him out with that. My best friend needs meditation to increase the “heart-ratio” in his decisions and decrease the “brain-ratio”.

What struck me as obvious this morning is that all those opportunities are perfect to start my coaching career! I’ve always been afraid to find my first customers while they were here all along! Ok, maybe they’re not paying customers yet, but I need to practice my art before I can start charging for my skills! And what is more rewarding that helping people you really care for, without even charging a penny for it? After all, my favourite activity at the moment are the homosexuality demystification conferences which are unpaid volunteer work!

This is the organization I do my conferences with:

Self-help action plan

Today I spoke with a friend about setting myself in motion. I am surprised at how things fall into place quickly and that’s even before I’ve written my self-help action plan! My course of action is not fully defined yet, but it seems that only my serious willingness to take action is doing the work! I’m also curious about the people I ran into recently. It seems like the number of “random” coincidental meeting is increasing. To me that a sign that something bigger than me is happening. My plan is falling into place! So for those of you who want so help moving into action, here are some useful steps:

1. Find your purpose. If you know why you’re doing something, it will be much easier to set yourself in motion. That might sound trivial, but it’s actually the basis of all action. Watch this Ted video to find out more:

www.ted.com/talks/rick_warren_on_a_life_of_purpose.html

2. Write an action plan. Even if your plan is not final or cumbersome, having a plan will make it easier to start your project. Feel free to readjust it along the way, but make sure that your actions are continuous in time to avoid interruptions in times of uncertainty.self-help action plan

3. Close your mind to negativity. Throughout your endeavour, you’ll come across many people to discourage you and give you a ton of reasons about why this might not work. Look at their achievements before you put any value in those comments. Only take advice from people who have succeeded at goals similar than yours

4. Do it with a friend! Along the way, even when you follow all good recommendations, you are bound to feel discouragement and to question yourself. If you are doing this with someone, or if you are at least checking up regularly with someone, you are definitely increasing your chances of success!

That’s it! If you want to partner up with me, feel free to ask!

And now, take action!
Martin 😉

Setting yourself in motion for Matrixx

Setting yourself in motion can be difficult. We all know what we should do: eat well, exercise, visit your parents, read books, take care of your personal growth. However, it’s easy to set all those good intentions aside and procrastinate. As you all know, I just came back from Bob Proctor Matrixx with a big goal: I want to own a penthouse! The visualization part is important, but I also need to act in order to get results!

When you participate in the Matrixx program, all the participants will want to help you realize your goal! That’s quite a change from the usual barriers we get from people around us! (even well intended!) I just contacted those who said could help me, and that really raised my enthusiasm!  When you realize that people and the universe conspire to help you realize you dream, your faith becomes stronger and your results show up faster!Bob Proctor Matrixx

But again, as I said, you have to act! NOW!!! If there is a big goal that you want to reach but you’ve been putting it off, let me know! I can help you with that! It’s always easier when you have someone to support you! Plus, I’ve been in your shoes! I dreamed to attend Bob Proctor Matrixx and I did it!! I went from watching one of his videos on youtube to shaking his hand 6 months later! You can do it too! All you need is to believe you can do it! Let me help you with that!
